Apps in ChatGPT and the Apps SDK
Apps in ChatGPT and a preview Apps SDK, built on the Model Context Protocol, let third-party services run inside conversations.
Pilot partners Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Figma, Expedia, Spotify and Zillow shipped at launch to logged-in users outside the EU, UK and Switzerland. Successor to ChatGPT plugins; developers could submit apps from 2025-12-17. OpenAI docs now call them plugins.
