ChatGPT plugins, browsing and code interpreter
ChatGPT can call third-party APIs through plugins, plus OpenAI-built web browsing and a sandboxed Python code interpreter, in a waitlisted alpha.
First mainstream LLM tool-use platform, with services described by a manifest and OpenAPI spec that ChatGPT could call. Browsing used Bing; the code interpreter ran Python for analysis and file conversion. Superseded by function calling (June 2023) and GPTs.
