GitHub's Copilot Workspace enters technical preview. You start from an issue, get an editable spec and plan, then generated code and a PR.
First GitHub attempt at task-level (issue-to-PR) automation. Copilot proposes a step-by-step plan from repo context, the user edits plan and code, runs them in an integrated terminal, and opens a pull request. Forerunner of the 2025 coding agent.
