GitHub announces Copilot X: GPT-4-powered chat, voice, pull-request and docs assistants layered on top of inline autocomplete.
Moves Copilot from inline completion to a chat interface in VS Code/Visual Studio that sees the user's code and errors, plus PR descriptions, docs Q&A and a CLI helper. Most pieces were waitlisted technical previews, with GPT-4 as the model.
