Claude Cowork
Claude Cowork brings Claude Code's agentic capabilities to the desktop app for non-coding work, running locally in an isolated VM with file and MCP access.
Launched 2026-01-12 as a research preview on macOS for Max, widened to Pro on 2026-01-16. Later came plugins (01-30), scheduled tasks (02-25), computer use (03-23), general availability on macOS and Windows (04-09), web and mobile (07-07), and merger with chat into one Claude (09-16).
