Claude Code reaches general availability with VS Code and JetBrains integrations, GitHub Actions background tasks and an extensible SDK.
Moves Claude Code from research preview to a supported product and opens it to developer extension, with native IDE integrations, background tasks that run via GitHub Actions, and the SDK that later became the Claude Agent SDK (2025-09-29).
