Grok 4.20 (beta) and Multi-agent
Grok 4.20 enters public beta with a multi-agent mode where four agents debate in parallel before answering; API follows in March.
Reported design is four named agents (Grok, Harper, Benjamin, Lucas) that share weights and cross-check each other before giving one answer. API model IDs carry the 0309 tag and list 1M context at $1.25/$2.50 per million tokens. It is the first step in xAI's 4.x point-release cadence.

Beta date and the four-agent design come from secondary coverage (xAI's own post was not reachable). The docs release notes file Grok 4.20 and its multi-agent variant under March 2026. Hallucination-reduction and LMArena Elo estimates in press are not independently confirmed. Came right after SpaceX's announced acquisition of xAI (2026-02-03, Reuters via Yahoo Finance).
