TII announced Falcon-Emirati-7B, a 7B model built on Falcon-H1-Arabic that is specialised in Emirati Arabic dialect and culture.
It is a dialect-specialised model built on Falcon-H1-Arabic, which uses the Falcon-H1 hybrid of Mamba state space models and Transformer attention. Training used authentic dialectal text, material on Emirati culture and customs, and synthetic Emirati data guided by glossaries, dictionaries and style rules. The aim is to handle vocabulary, tone, poetry and cultural context that a model trained only on Modern Standard Arabic misses.
