Preview of a bigger Qwen reasoning model built on Qwen2.5-Max, with promised Apache 2.0 open-sourcing, a Qwen Chat app and smaller QwQ models.
Deep reasoning, math, coding and agent focus on top of Qwen2.5-Max. Alibaba promised to open-source QwQ-Max under Apache 2.0, ship a Qwen Chat app and release smaller variants such as QwQ-32B, which arrived 2025-03-06; no QwQ-Max weights were released.
