Preview of Alibaba's first trillion-parameter-class Qwen as an API model; Alibaba later said it ranked third on LMArena text, above GPT-5-Chat.
Qwen's largest model so far appeared first as a hosted preview, outside the open-weights line. The official Qwen3-Max followed on 2025-09-24 with added coding and agent gains.
