o1 and ChatGPT Pro
Full o1 replaces o1-preview with image input and fewer errors; the $200-a-month ChatGPT Pro tier adds o1 pro mode with more compute.
The system card describes o1 as the successor to o1-preview and uses deliberative alignment for safety. Pro created the premium price tier that Operator, Codex and Sora later sat on. o1 reached the API on 2024-12-17.
