GPT-Live (GPT-Live-1 and mini)
GPT-Live is a full-duplex voice model that listens and speaks at once and delegates harder work to a frontier model while it keeps talking.
Replaces the GPT-4o-era voice mode in ChatGPT: continuous interaction decisions many times per second, backend delegation to GPT-5.5 for search and reasoning. GPT-Live-1 reached the API on 2026-09-10 at $0.05 per minute with delegation to GPT-6 Astra or third-party models.
