GPT Image 1.5 and a revamped ChatGPT Images studio bring up to 4x faster generation and edits that stop reinterpreting the whole picture.
Better instruction following and precise edits that keep likeness, lighting and composition, a dedicated Images sidebar, and API model ids gpt-image-1.5 and chatgpt-image-latest. TechCrunch says it was pulled forward from a planned January release after the 'code red' response to Gemini 3 and Nano Banana Pro.
