Codex app (macOS)
The Codex app for macOS manages many coding agents in parallel with worktrees, skills and scheduled automations.
Desktop interface over the Codex agent, with parallel threads, built-in git worktrees so agents do not collide, and first-class Skills and Automations. OpenAI said Codex usage doubled after GPT-5.2-Codex and over a million developers used it in the prior month. Free and Go users got Codex temporarily.
