Kimi 2M-character context beta
Moonshot opened an internal beta of Kimi with a 2-million-character lossless context window, 10x its launch version.
Context grew from about 200K to 2M Chinese characters in five months. The beta went viral, weekly visits reportedly rose from 150K (Dec 2023) to over 2M (mid-March 2024), and servers briefly went down, making Kimi a mainstream long-context consumer product.
