Project Mariner
Project Mariner is a Gemini 2.0 browser-agent prototype that reads pixels and page elements and acts through an experimental Chrome extension, with 83.5% on WebVoyager.
Early research prototype for human-agent interaction in the browser. Google said it was not always accurate and was slow. Its computer-use capabilities were later promised for the Gemini API and AI Mode (I/O 2025) and shipped as Gemini 2.5 Computer Use.
