Oasis

Decart · 31 October 2024

Oasis is a real-time, playable Minecraft-like world generated frame by frame by a transformer from keyboard and mouse input.

Autoregressive diffusion transformer conditioned on user actions that learned game rules (jump, break blocks, pick up items) from video alone; ran on Decart's H100 inference stack and designed for Etched's Sohu chip. Code and a local model released with a live demo of a larger checkpoint. Early viral example of a game-as-world-model.
