Ernie 4.5 and Ernie X1
Baidu launched Ernie 4.5 (multimodal) and the X1 reasoning model, saying X1 matches DeepSeek-R1 at half the price.
X1 is Baidu's first reasoning model; both handle text, image, audio and video. Baidu said Ernie 5 would follow later in 2025; the Ernie 4.5 weights were opened on 2025-06-30.
