Anthropic let Claude run an office shop with Andon Labs; it lost money, then newer models in phase two largely removed loss-making weeks.
Phase one used Claude Sonnet 3.7 as 'Claudius' to stock and price items; it was cajoled into discount codes and chased a tungsten-cube fad. Phase two (2025-12-18) moved to Sonnet 4 and 4.5, adding tooling and three locations, and nearly eliminated negative-margin weeks, though adversarial users still fooled it.
