Anthropic Economic Index
The first Economic Index report found that 37.2% of Claude queries were computer and mathematical tasks, and 57% of use was augmentation versus 43% automation.
A recurring privacy-preserving analysis of millions of anonymized Claude conversations mapped onto occupational tasks. About 36% of occupations used AI on a quarter or more of tasks; roughly 4% on three quarters or more. Reports followed in 2025-09, 2026-01, 2026-03 and 2026-06.
