Dynamic workflows in Claude Code
Dynamic workflows let Claude write orchestration scripts that run tens to hundreds of parallel subagents and verify results before handing back work.
Targets quarter-sized jobs such as service-wide bug hunts and migrations across hundreds of files, using the existing test suite as the bar. Launched in research preview with Opus 4.8 and later generally available in the CLI, Desktop and VS Code for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, and on the API.

Can consume far more tokens than a normal session; Anthropic recommends turning on auto mode when using it. The same pattern appeared in Anthropic's C compiler experiment (2026-02-05).
